Alpha Charlie does not sell your data or use advertising trackers. Match scores and your shooter name stay on your device (or in your private iCloud if you enable sync). Anonymous usage analytics go only to TelemetryDeck.
Alpha Charlie is a match analytics app for USPSA and IDPA competitive shooters. We take privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.
Alpha Charlie does not collect personal information such as your name, email, or match scores for analytics. The app does not require an account.
The only data the app stores locally is:
Match data and preferences stay in local device storage (and optional iCloud Sync if you enable it). Payment processing is handled by Apple or Google; Alpha Charlie never sees your payment details.
If you choose to enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your match data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is private to your Apple ID and is not accessible to us. iCloud Sync is opt-in and disabled by default — the app functions fully without it.
Alpha Charlie uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand anonymous app usage (for example: app opens, which screens are viewed, whether a match import succeeded, and subscription-related events). TelemetryDeck receives hashed anonymous identifiers and event names — not your shooter name, match scores, or email. We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your data.
The app uses Google Fonts (Barlow) loaded from Google's CDN for typography within the dashboard interface. This is a standard web font request with no personal data attached.
If iCloud Sync is enabled, your data is stored in Apple's iCloud infrastructure under your personal Apple ID. Apple is not a third party we share data with — your iCloud account is your own private storage that we have no access to. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of iCloud data.
Alpha Charlie does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
The app requests access to your Photo Library only when you choose to save a match result share card to your device. This permission is requested at the moment you tap save and is never used for any other purpose.
The app uses an in-app browser to navigate to match results websites. No browsing history is stored by the app.
You have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all stored match data at any time using Settings → Clear All Data within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently.
